Stuart H. Bassin

Prior to founding Bassin Investment Group, Mr. Bassin spent 22 years with The Zitelman Group identifying, evaluating, structuring, financing and overseeing a diversified portfolio of over 50 assets.  While at TZG, Mr. Bassin developed strategic partnerships with numerous management teams and ownership groups to purchase investment assets in all types of real estate and a variety of closely held businesses.  Mr. Bassin continues to oversee portions of the TZG portfolio and will continue relationships with long-standing strategic partners to find opportunities for our investors.

While at TZG, Mr. Bassin also co-founded Valuation Services, Inc., a top regional valuation consulting firm.  Mr. Bassin was educated in Accounting and Finance at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG.  He currently maintains his CPA designation (inactive status), was previously a Registered Securities Representative and also served as an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.  Mr. Bassin is also Founder and Past President of the Maryland/DC State Chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Presently, Mr. Bassin has become a partner at Sachs Capital (www.sachscapital.com), a Potomac, Maryland based private equity firm.   Mr. Bassin is active in the community through both the Suburban Hospital Estate Planning Journal Club and the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School and he enjoys coaching youth soccer with MSI.
